New collaborative community platform – The Glasgow Pantry, has launched to support the city’s favourite food and drink businesses during self-isolation.

Providing fun uplifting content, the new service includes live cook-a-longs with top chefs in your own kitchen, recipes, virtual tasting sessions and cupboard challenges with a host of Glasgow’s well-kent characters.
Recently launched with Scotland’s current curry champion, Ajay Kumar, in his kitchen cooking the ultimate (and seriously addictive) vegetable pakora. They have also had John Quigley create a delicious black pudding and chorizo hash, along with Cocktail Hour mojitos from Glasgow Cocktail Week, and a live Sunday Brunch Cook-a-long with Laurie MacMillan from Cafe Strange Brew, which you can catch up on below:
A host of other characters are already lined up to share recipes with The Glasgow Pantry. Next week will see The Gannet, and former Masterchef finalist Julie Lin Mcleod create their favourite dishes with supermarket-friendly ingredients, along with top drinks consultant Andy Gemmell host a cocktail hour on Wednesday.
Created by creative marketing agency Atomic10 and supported by Experience Glasgow, ‘The Glasgow Pantry’ aims to get Glasgow cooking and supporting the city’s favourite businesses when they need it most.
Nicola Moir, co-founder Atomic10 said:
‘Our vision is to help Glasgow stay connected with their favourite businesses from their kitchen.
“Self-isolation can be lonely and we hope we can support each other through lockdown with our new Glasgow Pantry online community and social channels with so much-needed light relief.
“So stay home, tune in and enjoy our smorgasbord of recipes and live streams!”
