A new range of premium, hand crafted bakery products are set to hit retail shelves, reflecting the recent change in consumer shopping habits.
Glasgow-based award-winning family bakers, McGhee’s Bakery, has introduced the specially made range of baked goods using the finest local ingredients and hand craft skills. The new product range was developed at the firm’s state-of-the-art premises at the city’s M8 food park during the downturn at the start of the pandemic outbreak.

All presented in recyclable packaging, the McGhee’s Hand Crafted range is to be introduced to selected Co-op stores and set to be rolled out across local convenience outlets this autumn.
The new range includes Double Seeded Rolls, Cheese Topped Rolls, Chocolate Coconut Slices, Ginger Marmalade Slices made with Scottish Marmalade, Loaded Brownies, Lemon Meringue Doughnuts, Chocolate Fudge Doughnuts, White Chocolate and Raspberry Doughnuts and Lemon Meringue Empire Biscuits.

Managing Director Mr Gordon McGhee and his new product development team, including fourth generation family member Russell McGhee, set about creating new products in the spring to meet today’s ever-changing tastes in a uniquely challenging year.
He said: “We wanted to produce a range of hand-crafted products to fulfil customer demand for shop locally for high quality, fresh baked products. We are absolutely delighted with the results of this exciting project.
“If our clients and customers enjoy them as much as we do then we’ll be extremely happy – and with 2,500+ units a week listed already the early feedback is overwhelmingly positive.”
